Taylor Luckenbill had two of the six hits for the Susquehanna University Baseball team Monday morning as the River Hawks dropped a 7-0 decision to nationally ranked Wooster College on the second day of the Florida Spring Training trip in  Port Charlotte.

Luckenbill had hits in the first and fifth innings and was also hit by pitch and finished the day 2-for-3 at the plate for Susquehanna (2-3).

Wooster (2-0), ranked No. 12 in the latest Top-25 poll, scored a pair of runs in each of the first two innings to build a 4-0 lead. The Fighting Scots added single runs in the sixth, eighth and ninth innings for the 7-0 win. Wooster had seven runs on 10 hits.

Susquehanna threatened in the bottom of the first as Luckenbill had a one-out single to right field and later moved to third on a double by Dylan Jenkins but both runners were stranded to end the inning.

The River Hawks also had a pair of hits in the second inning but Cory Fallon, who singled to lead off the inning was erased with a double play and Nicholas Berger singled with two outs but was stranded at first.

Luckenbill was also stranded in the fifth. Danny Gordon walked with one out and Luckenbill singled to advance him to third with two outs but a long fly out to right field ended the threat.

Luckenbill had a pair of hits while Zach Leone, Jenkins, Fallon and Berger each had a hit for the River Hawks. Nathan Madden threw 5 2/3 innings of relief as he allowed one earned run on six hits and struck out four batters.

Susquehanna returns to action Tuesday with a 3 p.m. game against Ohio Wesleyan.
