LANCASTER, Pa. – Susquehanna freshman cornerback Brandon Tinson has been named the Centennial Conference's Defensive Player of the Week, announced Sunday.
Making his fifth start of the season, Tinson had eight tackles (three solo) with two tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one pick and one fumble recovery in Susquehanna's 20-10 defeat over visiting Franklin & Marshall on Saturday afternoon.
This season, Tinson has played all eight games and totals 16 solo tackles, eight assisted tackles for a total of 24. He has 3.0 tackles for loss for seven yards and one interception to go with two pass breakups, three pass deflections, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble.
With Saturday's win, Susquehanna improves to 4-4 overall with a 4-3 mark in Centennial Conference action. The River Hawks hit the road to face McDaniel on Saturday, November 5 at 1:00 p.m.
