Senior Steven Weidlich earned another postseason honor Monday with the announcement of the D3hoops.com All-Region teams as he earned not only First Team All-Mid Atlantic honors but was also selected as the Mid Atlantic Player of the Year.

Weidlich led in the voting for the All-Region team and as a result was selected as the Player of the Year. He led Susquehanna and the Landmark Conference with more than 21 points per game and scored more than 600 points for the River Hawks who advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.

The senior guard also set a school record with 88 3-pointers made in a season and led the team to the two highest win totals in school history with a school record 24 wins last year and 23 in 2016-17.

Weidlich was also a First Team All-Landmark Conference selection and the Landmark Player of the Year. Earlier in the season he was named to the Allstate Good Works Team and a top-10 finalist for the coveted Jostens Player of the Year award.
