2009-10 Men's and Women's Golf Program Overviews
SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- The Susquehanna University men's and women's golf teams are both coming off of competitive play this past fall and have the spring months ahead of them to complete their 2009-10 seasons.

Mitch Mercer Wins Fourth Straight Empire 8 Weekly Award
ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Empire 8 Athletic Conference honored Susquehanna University senior Mitch Mercer (Wexford, Pa./Pine-Richland) with his fourth straight men's golf Player of the Week award on Oct. 5.

Men's Golf Sixth as a Team--Mercer Second Individually--at Ted Keller Memorial
GLEN ALLEN, Va. -- Susquehanna University senior Mitch Mercer (Wexford, Pa./Pine-Richland) placed second out of 60 players to lead Susquehanna to a sixth-place team finish out of 11 schools at the Ted Keller Memorial, held at Hunting Hawk Golf Course from Oct. 3-4.

Susquehanna "B" Team Wins Fall Invitational; SU's Mercer Ties for First
HUMMELS WHARF, Pa. -- Senior Mitch Mercer (Wexford, Pa./Pine-Richland) tied for first place out of 70 players to lead the Susquehanna University "A" team to third place out of 14 teams at the 2009 Susquehanna Fall Invitational, held at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club on Sept. 26, but it was Susquehanna's "B" squad that placed first to win the team title.

SU's Mercer Leads After Fall Round of Empire 8 Championships; Crusaders in Second
MACEDON, N.Y. -- Susquehanna University's senior Mitch Mercer (Wexford, Pa./Pine-Richland) stands as the overall leader out of 48 players after Round 1 of the 2009-10 Empire 8 Athletic Conference men's golf championships, held at Blue Heron Hills Country Club from Sept. 19-20. Susquehanna is second out of eight teams.

Mercer Ties for Fifth of 98; SU Third of 20 at Moravian Fall Invitational
DANIELSVILLE, Pa. -- Senior Mitch Mercer (Wexford, Pa./Pine-Richland) led Susquehanna University by tying for fifth place out of 98 players, and Susquehanna placed third out of 20 teams at the Moravian Fall Invitational, held at Woodstone Country Club on Sept. 17.
