Men’s Soccer Draws Dickinson in NCAA Tournament
SELINSGROVE, Pa. – For the second-straight year, the Susquehanna men's soccer team is heading back to the NCAA Division III Tournament. The Crusaders will face Dickinson on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 5 p.m.
The Crusaders (13-5-1) won the Landmark Conference title for the second-straight year with a 1-0 shutout of Juniata on Saturday to earn the automatic bid to the tournament. Dickinson (14-5-1) earned an at-large bid to the tournament after falling in double overtime to Franklin & Marshall 2-1 in Sunday's Centennial Conference championship game.
Susquehanna also won the title in 2012 and advanced to the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. This marks the first time the Crusaders have won back-to-back Landmark Conference championships.
The Red Devils enter the tournament having won four of their previous six games and opened the season with five-straight victories. Dickinson also made a NCAA Tournament appearance last year and won its first-round game to Westfield State by a 4-0 score before falling to Amherst 4-0 in the second round.
The championship match will be played on Dec. 7 in San Antonio , Texas.
