Men’s Soccer Suffers Shutout Loss at Lycoming

The Susquehanna University Men's Soccer team surrendered four goals in the first half and dropped a 5-0 decision to Lycoming College Wednesday night in a non-conference game at Shangraw Complex in Williamsport.

Lycoming (3-0) scored three times in the first 16 minutes of the game and added a fourth goal late in the 38th minute to take a commanding 4-0 lead at the halftime break.

In the second half, Susquehanna (1-2) gave up just one goal in the 64th minute for the final margin of victory.

The River Hawks were limited to three shots on goal with two coming from the foot of Patrick Bresney. Matt Ellingworth was credited with 10 saves as he played the entire 90 minutes.

Lycoming used three different goalies who combined for three saves.

Susquehanna returns to action at 2 p.m. Saturday with a home game against Stockton University on Sassafras Field.
