SU Swimming Sweeps Weekly Awards

TOWSON, Md. – Susquehanna senior swimmers Chadd Lee (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg Area) and Devin Lessard (Chestertown, Md./Queen Anne's County) swept this week's Landmark Conference Swimmer of the Week awards.

Last week both the men's and women's squads earned splits at Gettysburg with wins over Messiah and losses against the host Bullets. At the meet, Lee won the 200 breast stroke with a personal-best time of 2:18.65 and also went on to win the 200 IM (2:02.75). He was also second in the 200 butterfly (2:05.19) and was a member of the 200 medley relay team that also placed second with a time of 1:40.99.

Lessard, meanwhile, won the 1000 free (10:56.06) by three seconds and also went on to a first-place finish in the 200 butterfly (2:13.73). Her third first-place swim of the afternoon came in the 500 free with her time of 5:18.31. Lessard also swam a leg on the 200 medley relay team that earned third with its time of 1:55.56.

Lee, Lessard and their respective teams all return to action on Saturday, Nov. 3 when they travel to Catholic for a 2 p.m. Landmark Conference meet.
