Men's Tennis Falls in Season Finale

Nicholas Meale was the lone winner for the Susquehanna University Men's Tennis team as the River Hawks closed out the 2016-17 season with an 8-1 loss to Juniata Wednesday afternoon on the Garrett Center Courts in Selinsgrove.

Meale posted a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 5 singles. Two other matches were close losses for the River Hawks as Alexander Dove lost a tie breaker set in the opener at No. 2 singles and dropped the second set 6-1.

The No. 1 doubles team of Ben Ornstein and Ryan Seibert also played a competitive match. Susquehanna trailed 5-4 in the match before Juniata rallied to score the final three points for the 8-4 win.

The River Hawks started the seaosn winning six of their first seven matches but finished with an 8-9 final record.
