Men’s Track & Field Competes at Paul Kaiser Classic

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Susquehanna men's track & field team competed at Shippensburg's Paul Kaiser Classic in the final tune-up meet before next weekend's Landmark Conference Championship.

On the track, Kwane Hayle's time of 11.15 in the 100m dash placed him 16th and he went on to take eighth overall in the 200m dash with his time of 22.48. Matt Gass placed 21st in the event after crossing the finish in 23.08.

Gass went on to a fifth-place finish in the 400m dash with a time of 50.31. Justin Meyer and Kyle Entin were 23rd and 24th with respective times of 53.23 and 53.46 (a PR).

In the 800m run, Ciaran Fisher was SU's top finisher with his time of 2:00.51 – a personal best – while Justin Skavery posted a time of 2:01.13.

John Crowe's career-best time of 4:07.29 in the 1500m run placed him 14th with Dan Isenberg crossing the finish in 4:19.95, a near nine-second PR. Peter Lynch was just behind with his time of 4:20.69, followed by Mark Harrel (4:24.04 – a PR).

In the 3000m run, Kyle Skelton ran to a 14th-place finish with a time of 9:23.44 and Mackenzie Greco went 17:49.32 in the 5000m.

Will Claxton's time of 1:00.92 in the 400m hurdles was the 16th-best time of the day as well as a personal-best.

In the team's lone relay event of the day, the 4 x 800 team of Skavery, Sage Weikel, Eberhardt and Crowe took fourth with a time of 8:16.74, the ninth-best time in program history.

In field events, Jack DeLuca tied for 11th in the pole vault with a height of 3.95m.

In the long jump, Jeremy Campbell's mark of 6.12m was good for 19th and Desmond Edwards was 12th in the triple jump with a mark of 12.61m with Campbell in 14th (12.34m – a PR).

Tom Schetroma's
throw of 15.42m in the shot put placed him fourth overall and he went to place 17th in the hammer with a throw of 42.19m.

Finally, Jared Minori wrapped up SU's competition at the Penn Relays with a throw of 193-5 (58.96m) in the javelin to place 14th overall.

Susquehanna competes at the Landmark Conference Championships from May 7-8 at Juniata College.
