Men's Track and Field Earns Seven All-Landmark Selections

The Susquehanna University Men's Track and Field team earned two Landmark Conference Individual Awards and seven All-Landmark selections for the 2016-17 indoor season after its performance at the Landmark Championships this past weekend at Susquehanna University. Chris Petraskie was able to bring home the Men's Field Athlete of the Year while Matthew Gass brought home the Men's Co-Track Athlete of the Year.

Petraskie earned a pair of First Team All-Landmark awards as he placed first in the high jump, with a clearing record height of 6' 8" (2.03 meters), also placing first in the triple jump with the winning mark at 13.37 meters (43' 10.5"). He was second in the long jump with a mark of 6.59 meters (21' 7.5") to earn Second Team honors for that event.

Men's Co-Track Athlete of the Year was Gass who won the 400-meter dash in a record time of 49.98 to earn First Team All-Landmark Conference honors. He is the first athlete to beat the 50-second mark for the Landmark Conference. Gass was a Second Team selection as he finished second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.44, finishing just .02 seconds out of first place.

Taking Second Team All-Landmark was Armond Owens for his second place finish in the 60-meter dash, Ciaran Fisher I who was second in the mile and Joshua Brown who captured second place in the shot put.
