Chris Petraskie recorded a two of the seven top-10 finishes for the Susquehanna University Men's Track and Field team Saturday as the River Hawks placed 12th as a team at the 35th Annual Millersville Metrics Meet at Biemesderfer Stadium in Millersville.
Petraskie finished fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 12.68 meters (42 feet, 2 1/4 inches) and also captured seventh in the High Jump clearing a height of 1.9 meters (6' 2 3/4").
The River Hawks earned 25 points as a team to finish 12th out of 22 teams at the meet.
Other top-10 finishes included Robert Marks who was sixth in the Javelin with a throw of 59.14 meters (194'), Matthew Gass who was seventh in the 400-meter dash finishing with a time of 51.14 seconds and Torin McFarland was 10th in the 800 meter race.
Two relays also had top-10 finishes for the River Hawks as the top two 4x800 relays took third and fourth. The third place finish was completed by Kaleb Waiwada, Ciaran Fisher, Steven Rivlin and Kyle Skelton while the second relay was composed of Justin Skavery, McFarland, Gustin Reynolds and Andrew Steely.
Skavery was 11th in the 800 and Fisher was 11th in the 1,500. The trio of Brandon Sorge, John Matthews and Eric Pressler finished 12th, 13th and 16th in the 10K race. Michael Evans was 11th in the Shot Put and also placed 20th in the Discus. Peter Lynch was 17th in the 5K and Armond Owens took 20th in the 100-meters.
The River Hawks will next compete in the Bison Classice April 14-15 at Bucknell University.
