Men’s Track and Field Has Three Champions at Misericordia

Armond Owens, Ciaran Fisher and Matthew Gass all captured first place finishes Saturday afternoon as the Susquehanna University Men's Track and Field team placed second at the Misericordia College Invitational.

Owens was the top finisher in the 100-meter dash with a winning time of 11.10 seconds while Fisher won the 1500 in 4:19.96 and Gass took first in the 200 with a winning time of 22.43.

Gass was also second in the 400 and Fisher helped the 4x400 relay take fourth overall. The relay consisted of Fisher, Steven Rivlin, Victor Gonzalez and Gustin Reynolds.

Rivlin was also fourth in the 800-meter race and Gonzalez was third in the 400-meter hurdles.

Justin Skavery was fourth in the 5000-meters race with a time of 16:18.18.

In the field events, Dylan Heisey was fourth in the hammer, fourth in the shot put and fifth in the discus while Michael Evans finished second in the shot put, Jake DeLuca was second in the pole vault, Rakee Cromwell was third in the high jump and Jacob Blauch took fourth in the triple jump.

The River Hawks will compete next at the Penn Relays Friday.
