Gass and Petraskie Named First Team All-Landmark

Senior Matthew Gass and freshman Chris Petraskie each won individual event titles at the Landmark Conference Championships held May 6-7 at Moravian College and as a result earned First Team All-Landmark Conference honors as the squads were announced Wednesday by the conference office.

In addition to the First Team honors, Gass was voted the co-Track Athlete of the Year as he won the 200-meter dash and placed third in the 400-meter race for the River Hawks. Petraskie also busy at the championships as he won the long jump title, was second in the triple jump and fifth in the high jump.

Petraskie was included as a member of the Second Team as well for his finish in the triple jump and was joined by Victor Gonzalez and Dylan Heisey on the Second Team for Susquehanna.

Gonzalez was second in the 400-meter hurdles and was also fourth in the 110-meter hurdles while Heisey was second in the discus but also made an appearance on the podium with an eighth place finish in the shot put.
