Petraskie Wins the High Jump at the Jim Taylor Invitational

Chris Petraskie cleared a height of 6' 6" Saturday afternoon to win the high jump as the 34th Annual Jim Taylor Invitational hosted by Susquehanna University on Amos Alonzo Stagg Field in Selinsgrove.

Susquehanna had several top-10 finishes in the non-team scoring event that featured NCAA Division I and II competition with Bucknell and Saint Francis as well as Juniata, Frostburg State, Lock Haven and Penn St. Harrisburg.

Petraskie won the event with a 1.98-meter (6' 6") and was also fifth in the long jump for the River Hawks.

Ryan Bertsch was seventh in the hammer while Dylan Heisey was eighth in the hammer and 10th in the discus for Susquehanna. Jason Card was seventh in the shot put and Rakee Cromwell was 11th in the long jump.

On the track, Paul Jones was 10th in the 400 and finished 13th in the 200 for the River Hawks.

Susquehanna will compete next at the Muhlenberg Invitational next weekend.
