Robert Marks Takes 11th in the Javelin

Sophomore Robert Marks had his second best throw of the 2018 season as he finished 11th in the javelin for the Susquehanna University Men's Track and Field team at the 2018 NCAA Division III National Championship meet Friday morning in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.

Marks, who had qualified for his second straight NCAA Tournament, had his best throw on his third after throws of 58.21 and 57.54 meters. His third throw traveled 60.30 meters (197' 10") and placed him in 11th position in the final standings.

Seth Nonnenmacher from George Fox University won the event with a 73.75-meter (241' 11") throw. Marks finished just a foot shy of 10th place and was seven feet short of eighth place and All-American status.
