Men’s Cross Country Back in Action at DeSales

QUICK HIT: The Susquehanna men's cross country team took 13th out of 38 teams at Saturday's DeSales Invitational.

TEAM WINNER: Dickinson took the team title with 52 points. The River Hawks tallied 446 points to earn their 13th-place finish.

SU'S TOP FINISHER: Ciaran Fisher was Susquehanna's top runner, taking 57th with his 8k time of 27:26, matching his personal record.

OTHER FINISHERS: Justin Skavery was just four seconds behind with a time of 27:30 to place 61st in the 250-runner field. Mark Harrel posted a time of 28:21 and was followed just behind by John Matthews (28:28). Eric Pressler crossed the finish in 29:39 while Brandon Sorge posted a time of 29:47 and Kyle Skelton went 30:33.

THE SUB-VARSITY RACE: Six other SU runners competed in the 8k sub-varsity race. Peter Lynch was the River Hawks' top runner with a time of 29:15. He was followed by MacKenzie Greco (30:43), Torin McFarland (30:56), Chase Wallace (31:34), Nate Adler (32:54) and Robert Masters (36:29).

SU also took 13th overall in that race with York the overall team winner.

PERSONAL-BESTS: Nate Adler and Robert Masters both set 8k career-best times on Saturday with Fisher tying his personal-best time.

INDIVIDUAL WINNER: Muhlenberg's Jaryd Flank won with his time of 25:34 in the varsity race.

WHAT'S NEXT: The team competes at the Gettysburg Cross Country Invitational on Oct. 15.
