Eighth-Place Finish for Men’s Cross Country

THE MAIN STORY: The Susquehanna men's cross country team finished eighth out of 26 teams at Saturday's Gettysburg Invitational.

TEAM SCORE: Salisbury won the team – and individual– title with 51 points. SU finished with 262 points.

QUICK HIT: The River Hawks put three runners in the top 50 overall in the 267-runner field.

TOP FINISHER: Ciaran Fisher was again SU's top finisher, taking 39th overall with a time of 27:24.4 on the 8k course.

REMAINING TOP SEVEN: Kyle Skelton was next across the finish for Susquehanna with his time of 27:26.4 placing him 41st. Just behind him in 45th was Justin Skavery (27:33.7), who was followed by Mark Harrel (27:53.7). John Matthews posted a time of 28:35.6 with Peter Lynch going 29:11.8 and Brandon Sorge finishing in 29:14.6.

OTHER FINISHERS: Eric Pressler ran the course in 29:28.3 while Torin McFarland posted a time of 30:29.6. Chase Wallace went 30:48.9 and was followed by Mackenzie Greco (31:02.7), Nate Adler (31:44.4) and Robert Masters (35:02.2).

PERSONAL BESTS: Fisher, Sorge, Adler and Masters all set 8k PRs.
