Jim Reed enters his ninth season as the head coach of the
Susquehanna women’s basketball team in 2013-14. Reed was
named the head women’s basketball and head women’s golf
coach in August 2005 after serving as the head women’s
basketball coach at Wilkes University since July 2001.
In 2008-09, the Crusaders earned Landmark Conference Coaching Staff of the Year honors for the first time in program history.
Reed is no stranger to Susquehanna, having served as an assistant women’s basketball coach under Mark Hribar for three seasons (1989-1992) and as a men’s basketball assistant under Frank Marcinek for two seasons (1992-1994). During his previous stint at Susquehanna, Reed also served as an assistant baseball coach from 1991-1994 and as the head women’s tennis coach from 1993–94.
After leaving Susquehanna, Reed served as an assistant men’s basketball coach at NCAA Division II University of Indianapolis during the 1994–95 season and as an assistant girls’ basketball coach at Indian Valley High School (Pa.) from 1995-1998.
In 1998, Reed returned to his alma mater, Division I Bucknell, as an assistant women’s basketball coach and helped the Bison to a then school-record 20 victories during the 2000–01 season before moving on to Wilkes.
Reed graduated from Bucknell in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. He worked as a structural engineer for four years before turning to coaching. He played one season of football as a defensive back and lettered twice in track & field. The Reedsville, Pa. native is a 1980 graduate of the former Kishacoquillas (Pa.) High School and a 1981 graduate of Mercersburg Academy (Pa.).
Taylor Greene joined the
Susquehanna women's basketball staff as an assistant coach prior to
the start of the 2013-14 season.
Greene comes to SU following a four-year playing career at DeSales University, where she served as team captain in 2012-13 and was also a member of DeSales’ Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). She graduated from DeSales in May, 2013 with a degree in sports management.
Greene spent the 2013 spring semester interning at Division I Lehigh University as a sport/event venue and athletic sponsorship intern. During that time she also coached sixth grade girls and seventh grade boys at Hunterdon Hoops. In addition, she has interned with sport psychologist Jarrod Spencer and spent time as an assistant with AAU U17 and U12 teams.

Kathy Fedorjaka joined Jim Reed’s staff
prior to the start of the 2012-13 season after a lengthy Division I
head coaching career with nearly 300 career victories to her
Most recently Fedorjaka completed a 15-year head coaching career at Division I Bucknell University where she racked up a program-record 209 victories, two Patriot League titles and two NCAA Tournament appearances. She was a two-time Patriot League Women’s Basketball Coach of the Year as well as a two-time Bucknell Coach of the Year.
Prior to her tenure with the Bison, she spent three years as the head coach at Bloomsburg University where she guided the Huskies to three top-three finishes in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.
