Women Golfers Take Fifth at Centennial Championships
HAMPSTEAD, Md. – Susquehanna’s women’s golf team,
comprised of three freshmen, placed fifth at the Centennial
Conference Championships at Piney Branch Golf Club in Hampstead,
Md.
The Crusaders shot a 488 (+200). Gettysburg won the title with a
team score of 378 (+90). McDaniel (380), Dickinson (433) and
Franklin & Marshall (470) rounded out the two through four
spots.
Freshman Lauren Fitzgerald (Randolph,
N.J./Randolph) was SU’s top individual finisher,
taking 12th overall by shooting a 105 (+33). Classmate
Maura Handte (Boalsburg, Pa./State
College) took home 18th after shooting a 116
(+44) while Amanda Keister’s (State College,
Pa./State College) score of 127 was good for
22nd overall. Annie Albert (Ruxton, Md./Saint
Paul’s School for Girls) was 27th with a
140 (+68).
