Davidson Leads Women’s Golf at Conference Tournament

Freshman Michelle Davidson recorded seven pars Sunday for the Susquehanna University Women's Golf team as she was the top finisher for the River Hawks finishing in 19th place at the Centennial Conference Championship Tournament Saturday and Sunday at the Foxchase Golf Club in Stevens, Pennsylvania.

Davidson finished the two-day tournament with a 39-over par, 183 for her 19th place finish.

Sarah Hanson from Gettysburg was the tournament champion with a six-over par 150 and the second place finisher was 10 strokes back at +16, 160.

Gettysburg won the team title with McDaniel taking second followed by Dickinson in third, Muhlenberg in fourth, Ursinus in fifth, Franklin and Marshall in sixth and Susquehanna in seventh.

Samantha Thompson was the second Susquehanna finisher in 23rd position while Kira Hunter was 30th and Jocelyn Tamayo was 32nd for the River Hawks.

The event wraps up the 2016-17 season for Susquehanna.
