The Susquehanna University Women's Lacrosse team finds itself in the third position of the annual Landmark Conference Preseason Poll released by the conference office Friday.
Catholic is predicted to repeat as the conference champion according to the votes cast by the Landmark head coaches. The Cardinals had 60 points in the poll followed by Scranton (42 points) and Susquehanna close behind with 39 points. The River Hawks are expected to finish ahead of Elizabethtown (20), Drew (16), Moravian (14) and Goucher (7).
Last year, Susquehanna finished in a tie with Scranton for second place with each team having a 4-2 conference mark. Catholic was undefeated at 6-0 at the top of the final standings. Drew, Elizabethtown and Goucher all finished within a game of each other in the third, fourth and fifth positions.
The River Hawks open the Landmark schedule March 25 at home against Elizabethtown.
