Emily Stankaitis '13 who was a standout women's lacrosse player for four seasons at Susquehanna University has been named to the New Zealand National Team for competition at the World Cup Tournament July 12-22 in Guilford, England.
The New Zealand team will compete against 30 countries at the World Cup and is currently ranked No. 11 in the current world rankings.
Stankaitis was an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-American, the 2013 Connie N. Harnum Award winner at Susquehanna as well as the Landmark Conference Senior Scholar-Athlete award honoree. She holds the school record for career wins with an overall record of 47-12 in her four seasons. Her 17 wins in 2013 and 15 wins in 2012 are the two best season win totals for goalies at Susquehanna.
