The Susquehanna women’s lacrosse team held off a 10-goal second-half performance from vesting McDaniel to win 16-12 and capture its 13th victory of the season. The Crusaders used 13 goals in the opening half to help prevent the Green Terror from completing the comeback.

Athletic Department Announces Additions to Staff
The Susquehanna athletic department will welcome five new interns to its staff for the 2011-12 season. Four of those interns will fill coaching vacancies while one will serve as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. There also remains one coaching intern position yet to be filled.

Seventy-Four Student-Athletes Earn Academic Honor Roll Status
Seventy-four Susquehanna student-athletes have been named to the Landmark Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll. A total of 279 student-athletes from the eight Landmark institutions were named to the honor roll for completing the spring season with a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.2 or higher.

Susquehanna senior women’s lacrosse player Sarah Wright set a career milestone as she scored her 100 and 101st career collegiate goals in SU’s 13-10 win at Frostburg State. The win was the Crusaders’ fifth-straight victory and improved their season record to 6-3.

Road Win Extends Women’s Lacrosse Win Streak to Four
One of its most impressive defensive efforts of the season helped lead the Susquehanna women’s lacrosse team to a 14-6 road win at McDaniel on Thursday afternoon. The Green Terror managed only six goals against SU while the Crusaders saw six players net goals en route to the team’s fourth-straight victory.
