Susquehanna Women's Soccer, Volleyball and Wilkes Women's Soccer Raise Money for SU Volleyball Player Sarah Flannery
SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- The Susquehanna University women's soccer and women's volleyball teams and the Wilkes University women's soccer team conducted a charitable fundraiser in conjunction with the Susquehanna-Wilkes women's soccer game on Sept. 30. The effort raised $185 in support of the Sarah Flannery Fund, designed to offset the cost of surgical needs for Sarah Flannery--a future SU women's volleyball roster-member diagnosed with cancer shortly before the fall 2009 semester.

ST. DAVIDS, Pa. -- Susquehanna University's junior outside hitter Lindsey Jankiewicz (Easton, Pa./Freedom) tied for the match-high with eight blocks and added three kills, six digs and a service ace, but visiting Susquehanna (0-1 overall) lost, 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-13), to nationally ranked No. 23 Eastern University (1-0 overall) in a women's volleyball match on Sept. 1. The game was both teams' 2009 season opener.

MADISON, N.J. -- The Susquehanna University women's volleyball team has been chosen to place second in the Landmark Conference in 2009, as announced in a Landmark preseason poll on Aug. 20. The women's volleyball coaches and sports information directors at each Landmark institution that sponsors the sport were polled for the ballot.
