QUICK STORY: The Susquehanna women's soccer team fell 2-0 at Landmark opponent Moravian College on Saturday afternoon.
POSTSEASON: With the loss, Susquehanna finished the season tied for third with both Catholic and Elizabethtown. Head-to-head all three teams went 1-1-0 against one another and had identical records against the remaining Landmark teams, forcing a goal differential for a tie-breaker. Catholic came out on top with a +1 for third-place while SU finishes in fourth at zero and Elizabethtown finished fifth with a -1.
RECORDS: The River Hawks drop to 12-5-0 and 4-3-0 in the Landmark Conference while Moravian improves to 9-6-1 with a 5-2-0 mark in the Landmark.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE: The game remained scoreless throughout the first half with Moravian picking up two goals late in the second half.
Susquehanna out-shot Moravian 10-7 while taking one corner kick to the Greyhounds' two. Alex Edelman, Katie Beluch and Emily Sullivan led the River Hawks in shots with two while four other players took one each. Goalie Jordyn Slocum made three saves on five shots on goal in her 90 minutes of work.
LAST CHANCE: Sullivan took SU's last chance shot to get on the board at the 89:02 mark but the shot was saved by Moravian's goalie Jessica Lawton.
DID YOU KNOW? This remains the winningest season under head coach Nick Hoover and the first time since 2009 that Susquehanna has made it to the Landmark Conference playoffs.
