Brooke Boes and Erin Wetmore were just two of the several season best and lifetime best times that were turned in by Susquehanna University Women's Swimming and Diving team members as the River Hawks competed at the Gettysburg Invitational Friday and Saturday in Gettysburg.
Boes had a lifetime best time of 2:34.97 in the 200 Breast to finish 7th and Wetmore also placed 7th in the 200 Butterfly with a career-best 2:17.19. The duo led the River Hawks to a fifth place finish as a team as Mary Washington captured the team title.
Wetmore also took 9th in the 400 IM and Boes was 9th in the 100 Breast. Both swimmers were also involved in relays with impressive finishes.
Boes swam the lead leg of the 400 Free Relay with Sammi D'Amico, Devon Niness and Morgan O'Hara that finished 6th. She was also the lead swimmer in the 200 Free Relay with the same lineup that took 5th with a time of 1:43.89. The 400 Medley Relay was 7th overall with Colleen Walsh, Boes, Maddy Toohey and O'Hara.
