Women’s Tennis Wins First Spring Home Match

The Susquehanna University Women's Tennis team surrendered just four games in a 9-0 victory over Trinity (DC) Saturday in the first Spring home match on the James W. Garrett Complex Tennis Courts in Selinsgrove.

Linsey Sipple and Megan Rudloff won 8-2 at No1 doubles for Susquehanna (6-4) and each posted easy victories at No1. And No2 singles respectively with Sipple winning 6-0, 6-1 and Rudloff taking a 6-0, 6-0 victory.

Eliza Griffin and Cassey Fox won 8-0 at No. 2 doubles and Griffin posted a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles while Fox was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at No. 5 singles.

Amy Jennings and Brianna Grey won 8-0 at No. 3 doubles while Abagail Ransom (No. 4 singles) and Meredith Griggs (No. 6 singles) posted 6-0, 6-0 wins.

The Landmark Conference opener scheduled for Sunday against Catholic was postponed to Sunday, April 2 and the next match for the River Hawks is scheduled for 4 p.m. Wednesday at Marywood.
