Women’s Tennis Downed Twice by Landmark Foes

Eliza Griffin won at No. 4 singles Sunday against Drew University as she accounted for the lone victory over the weekend as the Susquehanna University Women's Tennis team dropped a pair of Landmark Conference decisions losing 9-0 at Scranton Saturday and falling 8-1 at Drew Sunday.

Griffin won 6-4, 7-5 Sunday in the 8-1 loss to Drew.

Griffin paired with Cassey Fox Saturday at No. 3 doubles as the River Hawks tandem dropped a close 8-4 decision. Amy Jennings also had a close loss to Scranton falling in the first set 7-6, with a 7-5 tie-breaker and then dropping a 6-3 decision in the second set.

The River Hawks wrap up the 2017 season this week with a make-up match against Juniata Tuesday and a second home match against East Stroudsburg Wednesday. Both matches will be played in Selinsgrove.
