Seniors Gabrielle Alguire, Amy Kaschak and Jasmine Mitchell each won individual event titles at the Landmark Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 6-7 at Moravian College and as a result have been named to the All-Landmark Conference team as First Team selections as announced by the conference office Wednesday.
Alguire won her fourth consecutive javelin title at the championships while Kaschak set a new Landmark Championship record in winning the 3,000-meter steeplechase and Mitchell was the fastest female at the event winning the 100-meter dash.
In addition to the First Team honors, Alguire was also voted the Field Athlete of the Year for the conference.
Mitchell also earned Second Team honors as a member of the second place 4x100 meter relay. She teamed with Hannah Perkins, Carlye McQueen and Samantha Reed as each member of the relay was a Second Team selection. Perkins was a double Second Team honoree as a member of the second place 4x400 relay as well for the River Hawks. In the 4x400, Perkins raced with Hannah Stauffer, Alexa Pietrini and Toni Alexander to earn the Second Team honors.
Erin Reese was also a Second Team selection as she placed second at the championships in the 10,000-meter race.
