Women’s Cross Country Picked to Finish Third in Preseason Poll

TOWSON, Md. – Susquehanna’s women’s cross country team was picked to finish in a tie for third place in the 2012 Landmark Conference Preseason Poll, released on Wednesday.

The Crusaders and Goucher both received 39 points for third place. Defending champion Moravian came in first with 49 points, narrowly edging out Juniata which received 47 points.

Scranton was picked fifth gaining 35 points followed by Catholic with 25. Merchant Marine and Drew rounded out the poll with 13 and nine points, respectively.

The cross country season starts on Friday, August 31 as the Crusaders compete in the Bucknell Bison Open.
