Women’s Cross Country Top DIII Team at Lock Haven

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Susquehanna women's cross country boasted a third-place finish at Saturday's Lock Haven Invitational. SU finished behind two Division II teams in West Virginia Wesleyan and West Chester.

SU had 115 points, a mere six behind West Chester which finished with 109. West Virginia Wesleyan won with 78 points on the 6k course.

Junior Ashley West (East Hampton, N.Y./East Hampton) captured fifth overall with a time of 22:25.2 and was the second Division III runner to cross the finish.

Freshman Kailyn Reilly (Scotch Plains, N.J./Scotch Plains Fanwood) and sophomore Amy Kaschak (Lake Hopatcong, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) finished 26th and 27th, respectively, with times of 23:26.5 and 23:28.2, both personal-best times. Keirnan Dougherty's (Dalton, Pa./Lackawanna Trail) time of 23:36.6 was good for 30th in the 117-runner field – as well as a PR – and Rachel Bachman (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South) earned 35th after crossing the finish in 23:53.6, narrowly setting a career best in the process.

Emily LeBoffe (Morris, N.Y./Morris Central) finished in a career-best time of 24:29.7 to place just outside the top 50 and Megan Wright (Winfield, Pa./Lewisburg Area) was 29 seconds behind her with a time of 24:58.5.

Freshman Seema Tailor (Roanoke, Va./Patrick Henry) posted a personal-best time of 25:15.6 and Allison Kriskewic (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) went 26:27.9, also a PR. Julianna Falso (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) rounded out SU's finishers with a time of 29:08.0, marking a PR.

The Crusaders return to action on Oct. 4 at the prestigious Paul Short Invitational, hosted by Lehigh University.
