Women’s Cross Country Takes Second at Championship

KING'S POINT, N.Y. – The Susquehanna women's cross country team ran to a second-place finish at the 2015 Landmark Conference championship meet, hosted by USMMA at Sunken Meadow State Park.

Susquehanna finished with 61 points and Elizabethtown took home the title with 19 points.

Senior Ashley West earned fourth overall with a time of 23:25.54, just 16 seconds off the winning time of 23:09.54 which was run by Elizabethtown's Lydia Dearie.

West was one of three All-Conference performers for SU. Rachel Bachman's time of 24:15.77 placed her 11th in the 82-runner field and Amy Kaschak was directly behind her with a 12th-place time of 24:23.11.

Freshman Abby Taylor took home 16th after crossing the finish in 24:44.89 and Megan Wright was 20th (25:06.31). Kailyn Reilly placed 26th with a time of 25:32.84, Rachel Daley's time of 25:43.28 earned her 30th and earning 31st was Seema Tailor (25:44.60).

The Crusaders next compete at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional meet on Nov. 14, hosted by Dickinson College.
