Women’s Cross Country Picked for Third-Place Finish

TOWSON, Md. – The Susquehanna women's cross country team was picked to finish third in the Landmark Conference Preseason Poll.

SU, which placed second a year ago, received 46 points to finish behind defending champion Elizabethtown, which received 70 points (seven first-place votes), and Moravian, which was second with 52 points and the remaining first-place vote.

Susquehanna will have to replace graduated seniors Ashley West and Rachel Bachman, who finished fourth and 11th, respectively, at the 2015 Landmark Conference championship meet. However, the team does return five runners who placed 31st or better at that championship meet.

Susquehanna opens the 2016 season on Sept. 2 at the Bucknell Opener.
